Nintendo Set to Announce the Wii 2 this June

Nintendo
Nintendo has been in the news a lot lately, not all the right reasons, though. The drop in its sales figures and the thinning out of its games titles can be possibly credited for this. But, come June, all this is set to change with Nintendo supposedly planning to announce the second generation of the Wii at E3 2011.

This system may be more powerful than the XBOX 360 and PS3 with an IBM PowerPC CPU, an ATI R700 series GPU and a 512MB RAM.  Reports say it will have an all-new controller featuring a built-in 6 inch HD touch sensitive screen.  Additionally it features a front-facing camera and can double as a Wii Remote sensor bar. It is also rumoured that the new console will be backward compatible enabling users to play all their existing Wii game titles. It reportedly will not bear the Wii name and would be available only by late 2012. E3 will kick off on June 7th and Nintendo always has a press conference before it begins.
